Please lodge a registration of interest form at your local preschool and at all preferred non-local preschools, by the end of term 2 (April). Although there is only 1 registration of interest process, preschools will coordinate 2 separate enrolment offers, 1 for the beginning of the year (intake 1) and 1 for mid-year (intake 2).

For Families Wanting to View the Kindergarten Before Enrolment
We understand that choosing the right preschool for your child is important and part of this decision is based on the “feel” of a site. Due to the high enrolments at our kindergarten, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate on demand tours during operation hours. If you are interested in visiting us, we encourage you to use the ‘contact us’ tab or send us an email to express your interest. We aim to hold two ‘Open Hours’ per year, where families are invited to view the kindergarten through a self-guided tour, meet the Director and ask questions. Children are welcome to attend under the supervision of their parent or caregiver.
Kindergarten Hours
In South Australia, children are entitled to access 15-hours of Government funded preschool per week. At South Port Kindergarten, children attend in two groups and these hours are calculated on a fortnightly basis:
Monday/Tuesday Group: 8:30am – 3:00pm (odd week Fridays)
Wednesday/Thursday Group: 8:30am – 3:00pm (even week Fridays)
Friday sessions: 8:30am – 12:30pm (fortnightly)
Fees
The annual kindergarten fee is $500 ($125 per term). This helps towards covering general operating costs and the purchase of equipment and materials for a high quality, play-based learning program. This may appear to be a large amount, but if paid weekly it equates to just $12.50 per week. Fees will be invoiced as two terms together ($250), which will occur in Terms 1 and 3. Additional costs include: Kindergarten apparel (not compulsory), incursions or excursions, as well as the Musical Muscles program ran fortnightly in Terms 3 & 4.
